This lot includes a partial set comprised of 20 out of the 24 postcards featuring the Minneapolis Millers of the American Association issued by Wheaties cereal in 1933. Scarcer than the Wheaties card set issued in 1932, these 1933 cards measure roughly 4 x 5 3/4" and have a drawing of a Wheaties box on the postcard-style backs along with Wheaties-related copy. They also have "VOID" stamped in ink where the postage stamp would go, as the cards were printed as postage-paid. This partial set includes the rare "Babe" Ganzel card in VG/EX condition with a very small crease in the lower left margin. Other players include Dutch Holland, Joe Hauser, Joe Glenn, George Murray, Spencer Harris, Leo Norris, Ernie Smith, Andy Cohen, Art Ruble and many others. Some of the cards show age-related yellowing; one card has heavy glue residue on the back, and two have a name written on the address line on the back. Several others have a small number written in pencil on the back. Overall, the cards are VG/EX.
