1934 Franklin D. Roosevelt Signed Presidential Payroll Check
This is an actual paycheck drawn on as payment to our commander and chief. It is boldly endorsed along with deposit instructions for the American Security & Trust Co. by our 32nd President on the check’s verso. The ultimate in rare and desirable documents this is only the 2nd FDR paycheck ever offered to auction. The first through the Gallery of History was offered with an auction value estimate that exceeded $10,000. Dated June 30, 1934 it is made out to “Franklin D. Roosevelt President of the United States” in the amount of $5,625.00. Bank stamps on verso from July 3, 1934. Check is EX.
