1934 "The Concordia" Baseball Team Photograph - "Greatest" in The Western Hemisphere

The Concordia was assembled in the 1930s, boasting, "The greatest players ever assembled in the Western Hemisphere and possibly equal to the best the major leagues could offer." A truly international congregation, after they beat everyone in Venezuela, they moved on to a world tour in Cuba, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. They won MOST of their games. Shown here while touring in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in March 1934, with star players Martin Dihigo, Tetelo Vargas, Luis Aparicio, Sr., Alejandro San, Marcelino Blondel, all top and/or legendary Negro League stars. Comes with list of all players identified. Some foxing, otherwise clean.
