1937 Franklin D. Roosevelt and Connie Mack Photograph (PSA Type I)

1937 Franklin D. Roosevelt and Connie Mack Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing Philadelphia A's manager Connie Mack shaking hands with President Franklin D. Roosevelt prior to the opening game of the season between the A's and Washington Senators at Griffith Stadium on April 19, 1937. Senators manager Bucky Harris can be seen looking on. Roosevelt, of course, was in attendance that day to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the season. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a few handwritten notations, a remnant of the original paper news caption, and the handwritten date "4/19/37." The photo (9x7") displays moderate creasing. In Good to Very Good condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
