1940s "Casey Stengel Day" Pennant in Vintage Snapshot
The Yankees retired celebrated manager Casey Stengel's number in 1970 and this rare pennant that we have never before encountered appears to have come from another "Casey Stengel Day" long before, perhaps after he retired as a player in 1925. This very pennant is evident in an enclosed faded photo and is in EX condition overall. The only man ever to have worn the uniform of all New York baseball teams was inducted into the hall of Fame in 1966.
