Roger Maris 61st Home Run Program, Ticket & More (3)
The man who hit 61 in '61, Roger Maris, wrote on the cover of this 1961 Yankees scorecard in vintage ink: "SAVE Roger Maris' 61st home run" and the Yankees slugger accounted for the only run of the game with his historic 61st blast that last day of the season against the Red Sox in the Bronx. There is a ticket stapled inside with the date written in ink, adjacent to the hand-scored program insert. The ticket reads: Game 81 and the program is in EX condition. There is a type III photo included showing Maris rounding first behind dejected Boston pitcher Tracy Stallard after the fourth-inning blast. An Official American League (Budig) baseball is signed by Stallard with the inscription: "#61 MARIS and the date: 10/1/61.
