Quaint pastoral scene of an early game of baseball at the hallowed Elysian Fields in Hoboken, New Jersey. It is a 1942 restrike by famed NY company Andres Inc. and is hand-colored. Approximately the same size as the original, 32x24", with No. 1019 printed at bottom center. The bottom of the print reads "The American National Game of Base Ball. Grand Match for the Championship at the Elysian Fields, N. J." This charming illustration is of an idyllic and formative time in the sport.
