1952 Groucho Marx Doll with Original Box

1952 Groucho Marx Doll with Original Box

A man whose comedic legend exists to this day, Groucho Marx is depicted in this 1952 doll with original box. The box, from Modern Doll of California, is stamped "Groucho" on the end and shows wear with creases and a handful of stains as well as some tears on the sides of the top. Contained within is a fully dressed doll with four bells (one on each hand and knee) and tuxedo. Created during his stint on You Bet Your Life, Groucho's head is rubberized and he is sporting a red detective's hat. The doll itself is EX-MT+ and measures 15" - say the secret word and get this wonderful keepsake.
