1952 Ted Williams Film Negative

1952 Ted Williams Film Negative

Original film negative capturing Ted Williams during an on-field ceremony. Williams is pictured in uniform, sans hat, while a young girl (only partially visible) stands to his right. Although there are no markings on the negative, research indicates that this image was taken on Ted Williams Day, held on April 30, 1952, at Fenway Park, which was the date of his final game before leaving for military duty in Korea. The negative (5x4") remains in Excellent condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. (Please note: the positive image seen on our website is for illustrative purposes only and does not accompany the negative; only the negative is offered in this lot.)
