1955 Minneapolis Millers Junior World Series Champions Trophy and Ring

1955 Minneapolis Millers Junior World Series Champions Trophy and Ring

The inscription on this massive trophy reads, "Minneapolis American Association Junior World Champions 1955". It stands proudly at 32" tall. The base measures 12 x 12". Nicollet Park was the home of the Minneapolis Millers from 1896 to 1955. 1955 happened to be the last year that the Millers won the Junior World Series. The Millers won nine pennants in the Association from 1902 to 1960. 17 members of the Baseball Hall of Fame once wore a Millers uniform (mostly as players, with one as a manager and one as a coach). The four smaller players that surround the bigger part of the trophy in the center have their left arms raised with their gloves in the air. These four appear to have been re-plated. The bat from the batter in the middle is a bit loose from the grips of the player, and just needs some securing. The ring that accompanies the trophy is a size 9, and has "10K" stamped on the inside, as well as "Cran". The ring says, around a large ruby stone, "Minneapolis Champions 1955".
