1955 Minneapolis Millers World Championship Trophy and Banner

1955 Minneapolis Millers World Championship Trophy and Banner

This trophy was awarded to the Minneapolis Millers after they won the Junior World Series of the American Association. The plaque reads, "Minneapolis American Association Junior World Champions 1955". It measures 12x12" around the base, and stands 32" tall. The trophy features four catchers with their left arms outstretched, holding a baseball in their mitts. The center has a player at bat on top of the trophy, whose condition is EX. With players like Monte Irvin with the Millers, they beat the Rochester Red Wings 4 games to 3. The trophy was won at the "storied" Nicollet Park. The black & orange banner which hung in Nicollet Park reads, "Little World Series Champions 1955". It has a small hole at the top, but is otherwise EX.
