1959 Frank Ramsey NBA All-Star Game Trophy
Though he is remembered as the NBA's first "Sixth Man,' Frank Ramsey was a star caliber player for the Boston Celtics, as evidenced by this actual trophy awarded to Ramsey for the 1959 All-Star Game. This rarity consists of a wood base with full-sized gold basketball that sets on top. The plaque on the base is engraved "NBA East-West All Star Game Detroit January 23, 1959 Frank Ramsey" - although Frank did not play in the game, he was awarded this trophy. The base measures 8x7.5x6", and the basketball adds just under 12" to this beautiful piece. It is in EX condition and is accompanied by an LOA from Frank Ramsey.
