1964 Earl Battey Minnesota Twins Game Used Jersey and Pants

1964 Earl Battey Minnesota Twins Game Used Jersey and Pants

Four-time All Star catcher Earl Battey played for the Minnesota Twins from 1961 through 1967, and wore this pinstriped flannel button-front jersey during the 1964 baseball season. The jersey features "Twins" across the front and Battey's number 10 on the back (the original number has been replaced but there is no evidence that this jersey has ever sported any other number than 10). There is a Wilson size 46 label on the front left tail above a swatch reading "1964-1-46" whose top stitching has come out, and a swatch in the collar reading "Battey." The left sleeve features a Twins patch. The button-fly pants included in this lot are from 1966 and have a Wilson size 36 label in the waistband alongside a swatch reading "1966-26." The jersey shows staining on the left side near the seam and nice game use from this fan favorite.
