1967 Jim Perry Game Used Jersey with Pants
Pitcher Jim Perry pitched 10 seasons for the Minnesota Twins, from 1963 through 1972. Perry, the older brother of Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry, wore this gray flannel button-front jersey during the 1967 season. The jersey has Twins on the front and Perry's number 31 on the back in navy-on-red tackle twill. There is a Spalding size 44 tag on the left front tail; below it is a washing label and a "Set 1 1967" flag tag. Perry's name, number, size and the year (67) are stitched in navy thread above the Spalding label; "Perry" also is stitched on a felt swatch sewn into the collar. The jersey has a Twins patch on the left sleeve and shows heavy use; the "31" on the back has been restored and the work appears to have been done by the team. Also included is a pair of Spalding flannel button-fly baseball pants from 1972. There is a "72" patch above the Spalding tag inside the front of the waistband, and a "34-25" (waist and inseam measurements) flannel swatch inside the back waistband. The name "Gallagher-41" is printed in block letters inside the waistband in faded marker.
