1968 Cesar Tovar Game Used Jersey

1968 Cesar Tovar Game Used Jersey

One of the few players to have played every field position in a major league baseball game, the versatile Cesar Tovar played for the Minnesota Twins from 1965 to 1972. Tovar wore this gray flannel button-front jersey during the 1968 baseball season, when, on September 22, he played every position in a single game against Oakland. The jersey has "Twins" across the front and Tovar's number "12" on the back in navy-on-red tackle twill. There is a Spalding size 40 label sewn on the front left tail above a washing label and a "Set 1 1968" flag tag. Tovar's name, number, size and the year (68) are stitched in navy thread directly above the Spalding tag; his name is also stitched on a felt swatch sewn into the collar. The jersey also has a Twins patch on the left sleeve. All original and in beautiful condition, this jersey is a keeper.
