1970-71 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy Presented to Jean Ratelle

Issued since 1967-68 to the NHL player who "best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey," a figural metallic flame rises about 6" tall above a platter 11" in diameter, and engraving reads, "Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, 1970-71, Jean Ratelle, New York Rangers" along with the criteria for the honor mentioned above. There's an EPOC and maker's mark stamped on bottom and some wear to the silver finish but this historic piece still rates in EX condition, originating from the personal collection of the Hall of Famer.
