1975-76 Jean Ratelle New York Rangers Game Worn Jersey
<p><strong>Addendum: Next season, Jean Ratelle’s No. 19 will be retired in recognition of his selection as one of the NHL’s Greatest 100</strong>.<a href="http://nypost.com/2017/02/18/rangers-will-put-jean-ratelles-number-in-rafters-where-it-belongs/">SEE RELATED LARRY BROOKS NY POST ARTICLE</a></p><p>This all-original gem marks a turning point in New York Rangers history. With an aging lineup entering the mid-1970s, Coach/GM Emile Francis began dealing team cornerstones, none of which were more significant than Jean Ratelle's move to the rival Boston Bruins. Offered here is probably his last home Rangers jersey, as he only played 13 games for them in 1975 before that deal was completed. The home, white jersey is a tie-front style with Cosby size 46 tag in the collar and RANGERS on the front in blue on red tackle twill. On the left breast is the rare Rangers 50th Anniversary patch. Both sleeves have "19" on them, on the back is "RATTELLE" sewn directly on to the jersey and "19" below. A loop style fight strap is inside, and it's signed on the back "Game Used Jean Ratelle HOF 85," showing very nice use with black stick marks, red paint transfers and even a few small blood stains and pilling inside. Along with Blueshirt legend Brad Park, Ratelle was dealt for hated enemy and Bruins legend Phil Esposito, creating seismic changes to both squads. Again, this is all-original and came right from Jean Ratelle, we rate this a 10/10.</p>
