1972 Hula Bowl Award Presented Only to Players

1972 Hula Bowl Award Presented Only to Players

The NFL had its postseason exhibition - the Pro Bowl - in Hawaii. And for many years, the Aloha State also hosted a collegiate invitational after the regular season ended. This framed award from 1972 was one of several that was presented to the amateur players who participated that year, and the names are listed on the certificate, which is also signed by the governor and three other dignitaries. It measures roughly 17" x 14" in its vinyl frame. The Hula Bowl existed between 1947 and 2008.
