1976 Rod Carew Bicentennial Game Used Bat

1976 Rod Carew Bicentennial Game Used Bat

Twins Hall of Famer Rod Carew used this Louisville Slugger model C243 bat during the Bicentennial season of 1976, and to commemorate America's 200th birthday the bat has a Liberty Bell decal with the words "1776-1976 National Pastime" stamped into the barrel just above the trademark. Measuring 34 1/2" in length and weighing 32 oz., this bat shows nice use. There is a crack in the handle that has been repaired with a finishing nail; the handle also has a nice coating of pine tar. Great bat from an 18-time All Star.
