1989 Sadaharu Oh Limited Edition Complete Manuscript "The Big One"
The finest book created on the Babe Ruth of Japan, this Limited Edition 2-volume set is serial #1243/3000 and nearly impossible to find in this country or even in Japan. Comes in original box, and the books are made of quality linen with gold gilded lettering. The box itself is beautiful and both books are untouched and MINT. Serial numbers are written in Japanese kanji. Sadaharu Oh himself is listed as editorial supervisor. The larger volume is a glorious photographic coffee table photo book with text printed on thick Japanese papers chronicling Oh's life and career. Second volume is a record book containing detailed information of EVERY at bat that Oh had as a member of the Tokyo Giants. Data includes the opposing team, opposing pitcher, the outcome of every pitch, and more. Incredibly, the set originally sold for 60,000 yen or about $420 even way back then. Books are 303 and 267 pps, box measures 13x9.25x2.75".
