19th Century Silver Baseball Music Box

19th Century Silver Baseball Music Box

Absolutely gorgeous 19th century work of art that combines music and baseball in stunning fashion. A flip top baseball opens up to reveal its true function, as a music box, and the ball rests upon an all-original, blue velvet base meant to evoke a baseball diamond complete with overlapping bats. The piece is silver and is ornately engraved throughout, making it truly one of a kind. There is also a blank spot by the bat handles perfect for engraving. It's not working 100% at the moment, as it plays some notes but is over-wound. This elegant offering measures roughly 6.5" tall and 10" across.

Addendum: This piece is silver-plated.
