1) Spectacular lithograph from the late part of the 19th century depicts a marvelous tennis scene. Victorian woman returns a ball with the most elegant of coloring and design. This is a proof with color bars at the bottom and is artist signed by Ellen H. Clapsaddle. Print is about 17x13” itself and beautifully framed to overall 25x22”. NRMT. 2-3) Two marvelous 19th century tennis color drawings are definitely European. Splendid scenes of games in progress are delightfully colorful; and measure 7x11”. Overall 19x15” with professional framing. NRMT. 4) Original cartoon drawing in splendid colors is titled, “Saturday Afternoon 8th March 1890.” Two tennis playing men carrying their bags are caught in a rainstorm. Artist signed by “RT.” EX-MT. 5) Beautiful turn of the century cloth print is entitled “Tennis.” Lovely lady with Charles Dana Gibson influence wields racquet on her lap against pastoral background.
