Vintage photograph of famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart. The photo captures Earhart as she stares directly into the camera while posing on a sidewalk. Neither a date nor location are provided. Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with Earhart's name written in pencil. One of the most famous women in American history, Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Today, she is best known for her mysterious disappearance in 1937 while attempting to become the first woman to make a circumnavigational flight around the world. The photo (6.5x8.5”) displays a few light creases (mainly in the corners and border areas) and is in Very Good to Excellent condition. Culled from the Legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive.
