Amelia Earhart Signed Postcard and Card

Amelia Earhart Signed Postcard and Card

A pair of Amelia Earhart autographs in a display featuring a photo postcard of the plane in which she completed her famous trans-Atlantic flight and a 2 1/8 x 3 1/2" signed white card. Latter autograph in black fountain pen ink rates a 9/10, while the former pencil version on the postcard is light and rates 4/10. The condition of the postcard is VG and the card NRMT. On May 21, 1932, Earhart completed the crossing in 14 hours and 54 minutes, shattering the old record of 16 hours and 12 minutes. In 1937, her plane disappeared over the Pacific Ocean, during an attempted flight around the world, and was never recovered. Both pieces are preserved behind glass in a 9 x 10" black wood frame.
