From 1903 to 1912, the franchise that would go on to become the most successful in professional sports was known as the Highlanders. From those pre- and early Yankees days comes this collection of felt pennants, cards and comic strip that make for sensational keepsakes from a seldom-referenced transitional period. The color strip is in MT condition, and features Everett Scott, Frank Frisch, Rogers Hornsby and Dazzy Vance, while the other items range from VG to EX. There are BF2 felt pennants and a B18 blanket with generic player in the center. The cards feature: Gus Williams of the Browns, Miller Huggins of the Reds and John Ganzel from the Rochester Bronchos (all on Piedmont), Wid Conroy of the Senators and Clark Griffith of the Reds (both on Sweet Corporal), and Carl Mays of the Yankees and Casey Stengel of the Giants with no brand listed.
