Babe Ruth 1926 World Series Photograph - Babe at Bat (PSA Type I)

Babe Ruth 1926 World Series Photograph - Babe at Bat (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing Babe Ruth as a member of the New York Yankees. The image pictures Ruth at bat during a 1926 World Series game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Yankee Stadium. The stamped date "Oct 4, 1926," appears on the reverse, along with an affixed typed caption that reads "The Great Bam at bat in sixth just before he rolled out feebly to Hornsby." Given the dating, this photo was taken during Game 2 of the Series, which St. Louis won by a score of 6-2. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with several additional handwritten editorial notations. The photo (9.5x6.25") has been slightly trimmed to its current dimensions and the name "Ruth" has been written on the front in small block letter; otherwise it is Excellent condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
