Bert Blyleven 1987 World Series Game Used Glove

Bert Blyleven 1987 World Series Game Used Glove

This glove was Blyleven's favorite mitt from the mid-1970s. After he retired it from game use, he continued to use it as a "catch mitt" all the way through to the 1987 season. After the Twins won game 7 of the 1987 World Series, Bert inscribed it and tossed it to a clubhouse boy. He did not use the mitt in the 1987 World Series but he did use it in games from approximately 1973 to 1976. The glove is very well-used and has BLY-28 written in faded Sharpie. The middle finger of the glove reads "1987 World Series Bery Blyleven."
