Bobby Jones Photograph (PSA Type I)

Bobby Jones Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph of famed golfer Bobby Jones. The bust-length image captures Jones in formal attire as he looks into the camera. One of the most accomplished golfers in history, Jones won thirteen of the twenty-one major championships he entered from 1923 to 1930. In 1930 he captured the coveted "Grand Slam" of golf, winning all four major championships in a single year (U.S. and British Opens and their amateur counterparts). Incredibly, he retired after that year. He was also a founder of the Augusta National Golf Club and helped design its course. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with Jones' name written in pencil. The photo (8x9.5") displays a small chip in the lower right corner, as well as light creasing. In Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
