Circa 1910s Polo Grounds Game-in-Progress Photograph (PSA Type I)

Circa 1910s Polo Grounds Game-in-Progress Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing a game in progress at the Polo Grounds, circa 1910s. Taken from the vantage point of the centerfield concourse, the image pictures most of the field, including a packed grandstand, as well as fans standing at the centerfield fence. A number of parked automobiles are also visible in the foreground. Given the bunting lining the grandstand, this might be an opening-day game, or perhaps a World Series contest. The photo (3.5x3.5") displays a few light creases and is in Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
