Circa 1911 Larry Doyle at the Plate Photograph (PSA Type I)

Circa 1911 Larry Doyle at the Plate Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph picturing Larry Doyle as a member of the New York Giants. Doyle is captured at the plate in mid swing during a game against the Cincinnati Reds. A Brown Brothers label appears on the reverse, along with a handwritten notation that reads "Doyle (NY Nat) batter/Clarke (Cincinnati) catcher/Klew (umpire) - The big three in baseball - batter catcher and umpire." Although no year is given, the combination of the two uniform styles shown here most likely dates it to 1911. The photo (9.5x7.5") displays a tiny chip in the upper left corner and is otherwise in Excellent condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
