Dave Bancroft Original Glass Plate Negative

Original glass plate negative capturing Hall of Fame shortstop Dave Bancroft as a member of the New York Giants. Bancroft is pictured in a fielding pose on the sideline prior to a game. Bancroft played with the Giants from 1920 to 1923, during which time he helped lead the club to three pennants and two World Championships. The negative (7x5") displays a few tiny areas of emulsion loss along the perimeter and is otherwise in Excellent condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive.
