Early Harvard, Princeton & Yale Football Cigar Boxes (3)
Offered in this lot is three college football cigar boxes; one Harvard, and two are Princeton from the early part of the century. 1) Entitled "Clubdon" shows three Ivy League college sports; baseball, football and crew on the inner and side label with a New Jersey address so it is probably Princeton. Shows wear on the outside of the box, inner label is nice, measures 8.25x5.25x3.5". 2) "Princeton Puffs" handsome large cigar box with a 1901 tax stamp label, nice condition with football pennant and silk string to open, measures 9x6.5x2.75". 3) "Traiser's Harvard" with a football player burned into the top and three different full ornate labels, inner, side and a small one on the top. Label is dated 1890, with "Harvard" inside on each side in large red letters. Measures 5.5x6x2". Light wear overall.
