Frank Ramsey's 1958-59 World Champion Boston Celtics Team-Signed Photograph
The 1958-59 NBA season culminated in the Boston Celtics' second title in three years, but it was also the start of a run for the ages. That season marked the first of an amazing sequence of eight straight titles for the Celts, and this photo is a tremendous throwback to those early days. Photos of this type were done for team members and and are very rare. The oversized, 11x14" black and white image is a professional shot of the team, bearing 13 signatures which are 8-9/10 in vintage blue ink. It must be stressed that this was signed in 1959, these are vintage signatures and the only one that is a bit hard to see because of contrast is Coach Red Auerbach. Players on that squad included Frank Ramsey, Bill Russell, Tom Heinsohn, Jim Loscutoff, Bob Cousy, Bill Sharman, Gene Conley, Bennie Swain, Sam Jones, and K.C. Jones, plus Auerbach and trainer Buddy LeRoux. The photo is in very nice condition with a few light creases at the edges, otherwise EX condition. It comes with a letter from Frank Ramsey, a key member of that Celtics Dynasty.
