Graham Chapman Handwritten Notebook w/ Paul McCartney Content

Graham Chapman Handwritten Notebook w/ Paul McCartney Content

19 total pages, filled with handwriting includes copies of typed text, character profiles, commentaries, colorful stories, and true accounts straight from the mind of Graham Chapman. Most likely written while he was attending Cambridge University. A great window into the vivid imagination of the creator of the cult classic known as Monty Python’s Flying Circus. The first page is marked, “(Incomplete) hand-written copies of material already typed plus a few draft letters by D. Yallop (nothing to do with the book).” The writing is, of course, pervaded by satire and contains a commentary on the town of Cambridge and the university grounds, colorful fictional stories illustrated with sound-effects, as well as true accounts. One involves Paul McCartney and the Hard Rock Cafe in Piccadilly and incorporates Chapman’s own commentary and philosophies on society at large with the use of sarcasm.
