Harry Houdini in His Workshop Original Film Negative

Harry Houdini in His Workshop Original Film Negative

Original film negative capturing famed magician/escape artist Harry Houdini and his assistants creating magic props in his workshop. Houdini is seen operating a drill press, with a prop skull and full skeleton pictured next to him. Houdini had one of the largest stage shows of the era and this is a rare behind-the-scenes image of the work and man hours needed to produce his impossible feats of magic. The negative (10x8") displays a tiny chip in the lower right corner (not affecting the image) and is otherwise in Excellent condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. (Please note: the positive image seen on our website is for illustrative purposes only and does not accompany the negative; only the negative is offered in this lot.)
