Important 1930s Signed Tennis Ball Collection with Bill Tilden Single Signed (5)

Fabulous display of one of the true rarities of the sport. These are 1930-1933 vintage tennis balls that have been signed by the best players of the early 1930s, at the time. Back fountain open signatures are excellent ort better, balls themselves are Wright & Ditson Championship 1930, and Spalding (1930 and 1932 Latex Exam) and NRMT: 1) “Wm. J. Tilden II.” The first single signed tennis ball we have seen signed of tragic figure who is still probably the greatest tennis player who ever lived. 2) George Lott, W. Allison, and an unknown. 3) W.L. Allison, Ellsworth Vines, and F.X. Shields. 4) Jack Crawford, Harry Hopman and an unknown. 5) Dr. Jack Wright, Marcel Rainville, Wm. McFarland and “Trainer.”
