Jean Ratelle 400th Career NHL Goals Stick

Addendum: Next season, Jean Ratelle’s No. 19 will be retired in recognition of his selection as one of the NHL’s Greatest 100.SEE RELATED LARRY BROOKS NY POST ARTICLE
It's hard to imagine the history made with this simple hockey stick, particularly its design in comparison to current models. The Sher-Wood stick was used by Hall of Famer Jean Ratelle to score his 400th career goal, as his Boston Bruins tackled the New York Islanders on April 2, 1977. The blade is slender and virtually straight with no tape (removed), "10" and "Ratelle J." are stamped on the shaft and it shows nice use with original cloth tape butt end.Handwritten on the shaft in red felt-tip marker is "Goal 400 April 2/77 Islanders New York," and the stick also has a March 16, 1977, manufacture date stamped on it. The sniper would register 91 more goals before calling it a career in 1981.
