John F. Kennedy Photograph (PSA Type I)

John F. Kennedy Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph of John F. Kennedy, 35th President of the United States. As noted by a handwritten caption on the reverse, Kennedy is seen here during one of his four presidential debates with Richard Nixon in 1960. The Kennedy/Nixon debates were especially notable because they were the first ever televised. The televised format greatly aided Kennedy in the debates because he was much more at ease in front of the camera than Nixon. As a result, Kennedy narrowly defeated the incumbent vice president in the Presidential election. Five Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with an identifying caption. The photo (6.5x8.5") displays a few light surface wrinkles and is in Excellent condition overall.
