John McGraw and Roger Bresnahan Original Glass Plate Negative
Original glass plate negative capturing John McGraw and Roger Bresnahan as members of the New York Giants. The image captures a game scene at the Polo Grounds as McGraw coaches third base and instructs Bresnahan, who is rounding third. The notation "Bresnahan & McGraw" is written along the left border. Although no year is listed, the uniform style shown here was used by the Giants only in 1908. The negative (7x5") displays small areas of emulsion loss along the borders and a few light scratches. In Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive.
