Kent Hrbek Retired Number from Outfield Wall

Kent Hrbek Retired Number from Outfield Wall

This 68x69" white vinyl sign that adorned the Metrodome outfield wall commemorating Kent Hrbek's number retirement ceremony is in the shape of a baseball with red seams, a large, red #14 and "Hrbek" in large blue letters. It is signed and dated (8/13/95) in heavy black ink in the middle and is partially ripped in the lower left area. "Herbie," as he was affectionately known to fans and teammates, was the hulking first baseman who played 14 seasons with his hometown team, blasting 293 home runs and helping the club win its two World Series titles. He was a rare breed in the sports world in that he played his entire career with the same team.
