Kid Nichols Scrapbook with Hall of Fame Congratulatory Letters (150+)
Jam-packed with well over 150 letters from friends, fans and VIP’s congratulating him on his long time coming election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. From every walk of life, they come handwritten, typed and include even telegrams. Just a taste: May 9 congratulations letter from Bob Quinn the Director of the National Baseball HOF, early collectors Richard Nagle & Ambrose Edens, KC Blues r.e. Babe Ruth game tribute, and many fans of the 19th century that saw him play (the content of some of these letters are marvelous including talking about Bobby Lowe’s four home run game). Measuring 12x9.5x2” the letters are all excellent or better, scrapbook itself is VG. The letters would have tremendous breakdown value if broken down individually.
