Pair of Baseball Batter and Pitcher Andirons

Pair of Baseball Batter and Pitcher Andirons

Rare and desirable set of two 1909 baseball batter and pitcher andirons. Each stands approximately 20" tall and each appears to have original gold-tinted paint. Interior stamp reads "RBS 09" and each piece has tremendous detail. Includes the tough-to-find stands for both, measuring 18" and made of cast iron. Though they show wear consistent with their age, there is no noticeable damage to either piece and they present nicely. We have had a few of these - including a "Negro League" set elsewhere in this auction, and these are generally very desired pieces, particularly in the Folk Art world.
Size: sb
