Polo Grounds Original Glass Plate Negative

Polo Grounds Original Glass Plate Negative

Original glass plate negative picturing a throng of fans at the Polo Grounds, circa 1910. The foreground pictures the fans as they mill about the elevated entrance/exit runway that connected to the grandstand in the right-field corner. The game appears to be in progress, as the right-field bleachers are filled. A few advertising signs on the outfield wall are also visible. The negative (8.5x6.5") displays a few slight surface imperfections and is in Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive.
