Tennessee Senator Al Gore Sr Wire Photographs (49)

Tennessee Senator Al Gore Sr Wire Photographs (49)

Long-serving Tennessee senator, Albert Gore Sr. is the subject of this collection of (49) wire and laser wire photos. Images date as early as 1943 when the young Gore enlisted as a private in the Army before President Roosevelt ruled legislators cannot serve in their elected post and the military at the same time. Interesting photos of Gore's congressional career including the report of a statement he made to Truman in 1951 urging a "death belt" of nuclear dust to halt communist aggression in Korea . Great family photos here too. One from 1958 shows a young Al Jr. with Band-Aids on his forehead. The latest images are laser wire photos from the early 1970's. Sized from 2.5 x 4" to 8 x 12" the photos range in condition from VG to MT.
