The Earliest Known Japanese Baseball Piece - 1887 Woodblock

They don't come much older than this: the earliest known pictorial reference to baseball in Japan. It was discovered in this 1887 school book, entirely printed in Japanese. The image of a baseball scene is complete with a batter holding a bat with a ball in the air and a catcher at his position. The book is in VG condition.
