Original glass plate negative picturing Wall Street in New York, circa 1890. The famous thoroughfare is captured during the day bustling with activity as pedestrians, news boys, and street sweepers all go about their daily routines. Also clearly visible in this image is the statue of George Washington, which sits in front of Federal Hall. The negative (6.5x8.5”) displays small areas of emulsion loss along the right border and is otherwise in Excellent condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive.
