Zack Wheat at the Plate Original Glass Negative

Original glass negative capturing Hall of Fame outfielder Zack Wheat as a member of the Brooklyn Robins. Wheat is captured at the plate during pregame batting practice, with two unidentified teammates pictured in the background. Wheat's name is written along the base of the left border. Although no date is listed, the uniform style shown here was worn by Brooklyn only in 1912. The negative (5x7") displays a moderate chip in the upper right border and is otherwise in Excellent condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archives.
