Fantastic image of the 1901 Ohio Wesleyan University football team featuring a young Branch Rickey. The 13.5x17.5" photo has been mounted to backing board, has a hand-painted cartouche reading "Ohio Champions" at the top, and includes typewritten paper with the team's record. At front and center is multi-sport star and future baseball legend, Branch Rickey, lounging casually. The 1901 O.W.U. team shut out five different opponents on their way to winning the Ohio Championship. Overall VG+.
