1907 Ohio Wesleyan Football Photograph with Branch Rickey as Coach
This 11.5x16" photo shows the rough-and-tumble 1907 Ohio Wesleyan University football team along with their soon-to-be heralded coach, Branch Rickey, who would go on to have a storied career as a baseball player, manager and executive, ultimately orchestrating Jackie Robinson's entrance into the MLB. The photo has been mounted to sturdy backing board but the top right corner of the board has significant damage (photo has not been affected). Includes typewritten paper with roster and season record. The photographer has signed the bottom right corner "Rodurtha 1907". Despite the damage to the backing board, the photo is in excellent condition.
