Cardinal Room Sign
This fabulous “Slugger Bird” sign from the Cardinal Room just might be the best version of the high-flying team mascot seen anywhere in Busch Stadium. The wood and laminate sign hung with aplomb behind the bar, no doubt getting Cardinals fans in the mood for some enemy blood before games. The bat-gripping image here may be one of a kind among all the variations of the omnipresent redbird, given that its yellow feet are in a wide batting stance on a perch and there’s a burliness of what is normally a svelte physique. The bird is on the left side of a red banner reading “Cardinal” above a baseball shaped piece with “Room” on the lower half. Entire piece is 34 x 42” and in EX condition. <br>(Estimate $500 - $700)
